Prevennia understands the dramatic impact that cancer has on millions of individuals and families throughout the world. That’s why we believe it's important to support the organizations that are battling this disease on a daily basis.
Prevennia supports the Las Vegas Chapter of the American Cancer Society® right in our backyard doing what we can to give back to the organization to help it fulfill its mission.

About the American Cancer Society®
For nearly a century, the American Cancer Society has fought for every birthday threatened by every cancer in every community. Taking what is learned through research, the American Cancer Society has contributed to a 15 percent decrease in the overall cancer death rate between the early 1990s and 2005. That means that the organization has helped avoid about 650,000 cancer deaths and created the potential for more birthday celebrations. Overall, 11 million cancer survivors in America will celebrate a birthday this year thanks to these efforts.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer® is the American Cancer Society's premier event to raise awareness and dollars to fight breast cancer and provide hope to people facing the disease.
Because of the generosity of volunteers and companies like Prevennia:
- The organization's phone lines are open every minute of every day to help connect people with the answers they need. Each year, free information and support is to provided to nearly one million people who call 800-227-2345.
- As a trusted resource online resource for the more than 23 million visitors each year, our website offers the latest information and news on cancer and is designed to help people locate resources in their own communities.
- As an organization, the American Cancer Society has hand in nearly every major cancer breakthrough of the last century, including confirming the link between cigarette smoking and lung cancer, establishing the link between obesity and multiple cancers, developing drugs to treat leukemia and advanced breast cancer and showing that mammography is the most effective way to detect breast cancer.
- And have helped more than 3 million uninsured, underinsured and low-income women get breast and cervical cancer screening tests since 1991 and, along with the American Cancer Society Cancer Action NetworkSM (ACS CAN), have successfully fought for legislation protecting this care.
